The company history of the Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH goes back as far as 1879 when Hans-Curt Jaeger and his brother Georg founded a metalware factory in the German town of Lüdenscheid. In the beginning, production was limited to basic electrical wiring accessories.
The Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH is an innovative market leader in the field of electrical installation technology and one of today’s strongest German brands. The company, which is a member of the ABB Group, has approximately 1,000 employees in Lüdenscheid and Aue (Bad Berleburg), both in Germany. Products are exported to more than 60 countries. International competence combined with a regional focus are characteristic for the middle-sized company that is part of an internationally active group.

At present, the company‘s product range comprises approx. 6,000 articles, from the complete electrical installation program with switches, socket outlets, special connector systems, dimmers, and movement detectors, to door communication systems and electronic, high-end products for building home automation. Busch-Jaeger products and solutions comply with the high quality standard, DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. In addition, the company has a modern, environmental management that meets the high demands of the international standard, DIN EN ISO 14001:2005. Busch-Jaeger is one of the first companies in Germany to have been certified by the EnergieAgentur NRW in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2011 for the introduction of a comprehensive energy management system.
